Andersson Hosts Open House and Presents Legislative Update

Yesterday, Representative Steve Andersson invited local residents, students, elected officials, family and friends to his office for an open house. 3rd and 5th Grade students from Williamsburg Elementary School in Geneva created a mural especially for the event featuring all the important land marks of Geneva and Kane County. The banner will continue to hang in Rep. Andersson’s district office where students and their families are welcome to visit and view.

Representative Andersson also gave a legislative update presentation to a standing room only crowd of over 100 citizens, where he discussed what was accomplished thus far in the General Assembly, and what still needs to be done. Representative Andersson was also able to present several certificates of recognition at the event to noteworthy constituents in the district.

The event was a success, and Rep. Andersson was extremely grateful for all those who came out to show their support. “I enjoyed meeting local residents in the district and hearing their concerns about local community issues. I want to thank everyone that came to show their support and listen to all that we have been working on in Springfield.”

Due to the success of this event, Rep. Andersson hopes to host more town hall gatherings to continue to keep the community and residents of the 65th District updated on legislation and action in the General Assembly.
